Welcome to Mental Gymnastics
The only thing is, the “result” was usually for someone else – a homework assignment, the eventual project on the job, and of course dating. As I got older, I started to wonder, “what if we trained our minds for ourselves?”
Thus was the brain child (pun intended) for the site you’re reading now. After growing up in the second largest city in the US, moving around a lot as a young adult, accomplishments and struggles as a collegiate athlete, and eventually a divorce (aka “life”). I’ve personally found it very helpful when striving for a life filled with happiness to “train” one’s mind to find the positives in every situation.
This strategy is supported by various spiritual and philosophical teachings throughout the ages, which I intend to share over time. These strategies and subsequent mental training (“mental gymnastics”) has allowed me to survive my own “dark nights of the soul” and I would be remiss to not share these tactics with others…because they work. This has been proven by not only spiritual people throughout time, but laymen like you and me.
